Original EKO catalog, circa 1967. 52 pages. This is an amazing catalog and reference source for collectors of EKO or Vox instruments. Many color illustrations and pictures of classic EKO instruments, the inside of the factory (with racks of Vox guitar parts awaiting assembly) amplifiers, drums (Wow! Who knew?) parts and accessories. The exterior picture of the factory in Recanati, Italy is so obviously and poorly doctored that it is comical, but the rest is accurate and super cool, including a picture of company president Oliviero Pigini hard at work and each section beginning with a nice conceptual photo of a featured instrument (ex. Ranger guitar, Violin bass) in a themed setting. The cover is stamped “LoDuca Brothers” with their contact info; the LoDuca Brothers were the primary importer of EKO instruments into the U.S. in the 1960’s. An inside page lists the EKO distributors in over 50 countries, with quite a few surprises like Tahiti, Madagascar and Iran and the page describing EKO's company philosophy refers to EKO guitars as "bathed in an aura of brilliance..." Too cool. Some tiny scuffs and marks on the front and back cover but otherwise this is in remarkable condition and such fun just to look through..
